⭐ master the art of SELF STUDY | North Sydney Boys | FIRST in Mathematics Extension⭐ Hi! I'm Charlie, a high achieving year 12 student at North Sydney Boys High School, rank 1 in NSW. Over the past year, I've had the joy of tutoring students from all years (primary and high school), levels, and background. Unlike other tutors, who take a systematic approach to teaching their students, I SPECIALISE in a different, unique approach called SELF STUDYING. ⭐ What is self studying? ⭐ In my opinion, self studying is the most CRUCIAL skill to have, not only for school, but for all aspects of life. It's the skill of being able to LEARN and MASTER just about ANYTHING in life only relying on YOURSELF and nothing else, whether it's achieving top marks at school, or mastering a musical instrument, or playing a sport. It teaches resilience, independence, and most importantly, discipline. It is my hope that through my mentoring, you will gain lifelong skills and characteristics that will continue to grow and flourish forever. "the biggest obstacle you'll evercome is your mind. If you can overcome that, you can overcome anything" With my guidance and help, I've watched students, who had been struggling under immense stress and workload, grow to reach their full potential in school, achieving the academic results they had dreamt of for years. As a student who was also in the same boat, I have the advantage of being able to understand their challenges and connect with them on a deeper level. Let me show you what I mean. ⭐ My Story ⭐ Unlike everyone I know, I've never been tutored in my life. Every year, thousands of young, eager students compete for a spot in the rank 1 school in NSW, North Sydney Boys, with less than a 1% chance of securing one. I was one of those lucky ones. In my junior years of high school, I had little guidance and direction, and quite frankly, I did not have a clue of what was going on. It felt like the teachers were going through topics faster than the speed of light. I wouldn't be able to understand the concepts fast or in-depth enough, and because of that, barely anything made sense to me when it was taught in class. It would often feel like I was suffocating; it felt like I had an infinite amount of topics and content to learn in a very very finite amount of time. They just kept coming and coming, one topic after another. However, over the years in high school, all of this slowly changed. And no, it wasn't because I found a tutor. Over the years, through my own HARD WORK, RESILIENCE and DETERMINATION, I had learnt to teach myself EVERYTHING. Only relying on myself, I overcame my struggles and built a new, unstoppable mindset. Now, fast forward to today, I'm rank 1 in Extension Maths, and top 10 in all my other subjects. And to be truthful, I don't study as much as others. It is truly is a matter of the QUALITY OF YOUR MINDSET rather than QUANTITY.
