I am currently studying Economics & Science at UNSW. I have 2 years of HSC Math and Economics teaching experience. Why I tutor? To be honest, I struggled a lot with studying when I first started my high school journey. This was because I never understood what effective learning was. I believe that good teaching isn’t only about helping students ace a subject or achieve a high grade. My aim is to foster students’ passions, their critical thinking and resilience to effectively mentor students into understanding what it truly means to learn, which is a lifelong skill that extends beyond the classroom. Lesson Aims: • Recognising areas that students are struggling with to adopt individually tailored lesson plans that empower their strengths and help them overcome weaknesses to become well rounded individuals. • Encouraging students to attempt questions as we proceed through each topic and providing guidance on how to answer a variety of exam style questions.
