A current Masters of Secondary Teaching student looking for tutoring work.
I completed my Bachelor of Science majoring in biology with a GPA of 6.75, whilst also taking humanities courses for my electives. I am experienced in a variety of subjects, though feel most comfortable helping out with Biology, Ancient and Modern History, English, and Visual Arts. I am current studying to become a high school biology and history teacher through QUT.
I have previously tutored kids from Grade 6 to Grade 12. I also have some experience working with kids with ASD and anxiety disorders. I believe in helping each student set their own goals, and helping them achieve these by working on study techniques, understanding assessments, and learning what specific roadblocks are standing in their way.
I have a Blue Card/Working with Children check.
My high school included an IB program, and I participated in MYP from Grade 5 to 10. I am acquainted with the senior IB curriculum.
