Over the past 4 years, I’ve mentored 150+ aspiring medical students, with 92% receiving one or more Australian medical school offers. Hi, I’m Minha, founder of MedUX and senior medical student at Western Sydney University. I graduated from James Ruse Agricultural High School (2022) with a 99.90 ATAR, 3360 UCAT (99th percentile), 7 Australian medical school offers and 5 scholarship offers.
As the founder of MedUX, I’ve brought together years of interview mentoring experience, proven teaching frameworks and university-specific preparation into one personalised program. Minha is a great tutor who played a key role in improving my medical interview skills which allowed me to receive an offer. Her lessons are very structured and each lesson builds upon the knowledge attained and the skills developed in the previous one - she initially provides a detailed explanation of the interview process, then moves onto questions and finally mocks. Minha’s interview resources were detailed and in depth, including notes on relevant information as well as an extensive question bank organised by question type. The resources were extremely beneficial in familiarising myself with different styles of questions, as within each section there were a variety of prompts that I could practice with. The notes were also informative, including key terms and facts that I could use to support my responses. All of these factors helped me perform well in my interview! I would recommend Minha’s resources for anyone preparing for med interviews.

After not taking the UCAT as seriously the year before, I decided to properly study. I sought out tutoring from Minha and it was a game changer. Looking to refine my approach in the weeks leading up to interviews, I approached Minha for tuition. With her guidance, I secured an offer for the Joint Medical Program.
Key to my success was the personalized approach Minha took in her lessons. Taking the time to assess my current interview skills, she offered me specific, actionable feedback. For example, I learned that the way I spoke about certain subjects came across as too ‘logical,’ making me appear unempathetic. She suggested that restructuring my sentences could help address this and provided examples of how to do so. As a result, each lesson was valuable as I always had clear things to improve. On top of this, she provided in-depth insight into multiple universities, shared resources and offered advice on how I could best present myself on camera.

I had Minha for an introductory session to medical school interviews, which I found game changing for starting my preparation. Working with Minha through MMI Mocks was helpful in my preparation because she was very direct and efficient in pointing out areas of improvement whilst also giving words of encouragement for things I did well which kept me on track. Her ability to provide tailored examples for my weak points, which extended beyond superficial things like "be more specific", allowed me to see what an ideal response was like and inspired my own scaffold for responses. During my mock interview, Minha set a formal structure of what a real interview would feel like during the day, creating a formal tone that helped me focus on how to express myself appropriately within the given setting as well as how I could keep calm from the pressure and continue to form a logical response. When this mock interview concluded it helped me realise my strengths but also my weaknesses that I needed to work on before my upcoming interview. Minha with her experience also picked up on these strengths and weaknesses, which she went over thoroughly in our following review of the mock. This included appropriate praise for what I had done well, but at the same time, she gave insights on how to tweak responses so they fully hit the question and really highlight the best traits that you want to sell to an interviewer. Overall, I'm very glad I had the chance to work with Minha as it greatly helped my preparation, both helping me realise what I needed to work on and how to work on these issues.
