Hi there! I am Shailaj, a current MD1 medical student. I graduated in 2021 and have been teaching Chemistry to hundreds of students in class and one-one-one since. I look forward to working with students and helping them on their journey to achieve their goals as a student! I have been teaching students one-on-one and in classroom settings for the past 3 years and have developed vast knowledge in ensuring the success of my students. I have also undergone rigorous training on not only how to teach students but also how to make them better learners. I think that tutoring is not just about getting good marks or the best ATAR but also ensuring that in the long term, students develop the skills to be amazing leaners who do amazing things in the world! I have also been writing my own chemistry questions and slides that my students will have access to. I have a degree in Chemistry and Pathology from UNSW in 2024. I am currently completing a Doctor of Medicine at UWA. I also achieved an ATAR of 99.40 where I was named a HSC all rounder. I understand that every student learns differently so I take on a student centered approach to teaching where I put a lot of emphasis on active learning, critical thinking and personalised teaching. I want to ensure that you are not only amazing at Chemistry but also are an amazing student who can take the skills you learn to all aspect of your learning. I am currently charging $45/hour and only looking to take online students.
