I am currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (major in Physics and minor in Mathematics) at Monash Uni. I graduated with an ATAR of 99.00 and was top of my grade in Physics and top 3 in Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, and Biology. I have been tutoring students in Years 7-12 for seven years in many different subjects. I specialise in Senior Mathematics (all levels) and Senior Physics, but enjoy helping students in any years with mathematics and science. Studying Secondary Education, I am knowledgeable of the current curriculum and assessment, and am able to apply teaching strategies to best support my students. I am passionate about learning and teaching; my goal as a tutor is to help my students become confident, capable and independent life-long learners. My belief is that all of my students already posses the talents and potentials they need to succeed; my job is to nurture these talents and help my students become the best they can be. Jordy has been a huge help to me this year. With being tutored in both methods and specialists maths, both being very difficult subjects, Jordy would always try to explain in the most simple way that made sense to me. Jordy was very accommodating and flexible with extra sessions, sometimes with very little notice to her. I would highly recommend her as she is very knowledgeable in both these subjects that she tutored me in.

Jordy tutored me for math. She was very kind and she helped me a lot with understanding topics that i found difficult to understand from my school teacher. Jordy explained how to do the math questions as easy as possible and as we worked through chapters, she made sure to spend more time on the ones that i found more challenging which helped me a lot. :)
