About

I am an experienced tutor offering lessons and assessment marking in Year 7-10 English, and all levels of HSC English. I have achieved excellent results in these subjects, including a Band 6 in Advanced English, a Band 4 in 3U English, and a 49/50 in my final 4u major work. Additionally, I received a band 6 in Modern History and can offer extra help in those areas. Currently a first-year student at the University of Sydney, majoring in English and Film, I possess a strong academic background and a deep understanding of the subjects I teach. I am available for both online and in-person lessons (depending on the location, travel fees are dependent on distance). While having a personal understanding of subjects is important, applying and teaching them is vastly different. Having tutored since the end of 2022, I have worked with students ranging from Year 6 to Year 12. My teaching approach involves tailoring lessons to suit individual needs, providing comprehensive explanations, and offering practical strategies to improve understanding and performance. Coco is a great English tutor who utilises an excellent method of teaching which caters towards the student’s goals, strengths and weaknesses. Unlike others in the past who have tutored my son, Coco assists and guides her students in writing outstanding pieces, as opposed to merely writing it for them and have the student memorise it for the exam. Her methods have been backed up by results, which saw my son’s English mark increase from 13/20 to 17/20.
