I am a secondary teacher who specialises in Humanities and Social Sciences and English. I want you to be independent of my services so my goal is to get you feeling comfortable in your studies to set you on your way! This will look like me positioning you to think for yourself; you don't want to hear me lecturing. I like to share how you learn so you take away some strategies for yourself once we are finished with one another. Whether it's your essay writing and paragraph structure, source analysis, reading comprehension or different study skills, get in touch. I offer in person tutoring via home visits (usually $80/hr) and neutral venues (price may change depending on tutoring venue).

Had Sam all year for year 12 English. Beforehand I struggled with many of the concepts and felt as if it would be a struggle to pass the subject, but working with Sam made it easy to understand the difficult subjects as well as understand how I could improve my responding and composing. His effort to give me extra feedback and ability to go above and beyond with ensuring I was aware of how to improve to get the best mark possible made year 12 English more enjoyable and manageable.

Sam is a fantastic tutor, he's helped my English grades increase from a C average to an A average. He's helped me build more confidence in my writing skills and help me better understand analysis, language conventions and essay response structure. As well as help me write with a deeper depth to my arguments and analysis bringing a further insight into my writing and helping me achieve my goals in English. He is very friendly, patient and working with him is stress free however he is also very skilled. Would highly recommend.

Exceptional tutor, reliable and trustworthy. Sam has assisted my son who is a student at Perth Modern and has always been a C student in English to get marks in Bs and even As. He has a magnificent personality and is able to relate with his students, we have tried tutors over the years that didn’t work and generated stress rather than support the student’s journey. I highly recommend Sam, nothing is ever a problem, he is reliable (I don’t think the ever rescheduled), he will adjust to the needs of his students the content and delivery style and will be available for more or less work as needed.
