I graduated from Cherrybrook Technology High School in 2022 achieving a Band 6 in both Business Studies and Economics where I scored a 94 in Business Studies and a 90 in Economics. Currently, I have a distinction WAM for my university degree. How I can help you: Through my tutoring experience and completion of year 12 I get what students are feeling and I can use my experience to help them maximise their results for exams and also provide them with time management strategies. I think my most valuable quality as a tutor is that I will be able to provide students with different techniques and advice on what to include in essays, short answer responses and business reports that will catch the attention of school and HSC markers to maximise their results. Experience: I have experience tutoring year 8 - year 12 students for Business Studies, Economics, PDHPE and Math. I believe that I have developed a proven record in increasing my student grades, especially for my year 12 students. For example for one of my students, post-commencing tutoring during term two, my student who I tutored for business studies achieved a 32% grade improvement in her third assessment and a 20% gain during her trial exams, ultimately surpassing her cohort's average by 20% and achieving an overall mark of 89% for Business Studies. Teaching Approach: My teaching approach will be tailored to each student's needs, but it will involve first going through content with students and then guiding students through doing practice exam questions to apply their knowledge. I also believe a big part of my job would be providing students with feedback on their practice responses to teach them how to answer the question more effectively and concisely. I am also able to provide students with a plethora of resources such as exemplar essays, short answer responses, content notes and business reports that can help students understand how to effectively answer questions.
