I am currently undertaking my second year of medical studies at James Cook University, Bebegu Yumba Campus. In my studies, I aim to make real, positive and lasting contributions toward healthcare delivery in underserved communities. I hope to empower others to make informed decisions about their own health and become more open-minded, knowledgeable and culturally aware in the process. Why do I love tutoring? I have a passion for learning and would love to be part of creating safe, supportive spaces for students in which they can further their understanding of and gain a deeper appreciation for various subject areas. What are my teaching styles? I challenge my students to realise their potential → I believe the most important aspects of bein a good tutor include being patient, motivational and always reminding students of their end goals. I empower students to take control of their learning and start to feel more confident in their abilities. Why do I enjoy a holistic approach to tutoring? I mentor my students beyond the subject → Whether it be exam tips, essay writing help, study strategies, personal development or even advice on entrance to university, I am passionate about helping students navigate their academic journey right through to life beyond school and maintain a balanced lifestyle. What is my experience? Throughout my tutoring journey, I have had the privilege of guiding and supporting students from both IB and non-IB curricula. This diverse experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of different educational systems and the unique challenges each presents.
