About me: Hi, I'm Vismaya! I am currently studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland. I graduated from Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology in 2021 as an Honour Student with an IB score of 44/45 (unadjusted ATAR 99.75). I achieved 7s in all my subjects and have been tutoring since graduation. IB tutoring: I am currently offering tutoring for Year 11 and 12 students in Maths Applications and Interpretations, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. I consistently achieved 7s in these subjects throughout the IB and scored 7s in my finals too (including 106/110 in my final Maths AIHL Paper 1). I tailor sessions to suit each student's needs - whether that's focused on teaching, working through exam questions, or a mix of both. I also offer feedback on assignments during sessions, or via written feedback (equivalent to one hour of tutoring). I can also provide practice questions and past materials for select IB subjects during sessions. Medicine entrance interview prep: All students I've helped with medical entrance interviews thus far have successfully received university offers. I provide: - A full breakdown of the MMI/panel process - Common topics and question types - Guided practice and mock interviews - Teaching students a structure I developed for answering MMI questions, which helps answers stand out as confident, thought out and coherent. - Coaching on how to present yourself confidently and professionally. UCAT prep: With a 98th percentile UCAT score, I can share strategies that worked for me. My personal strengths were in Quantitative Reasoning (900/900) and Abstract Reasoning (870/900), both of which were in the 99th percentile, but can provide advice on how to approach questions in all the UCAT sections, and time efficient strategies and practice techniques that worked for me.
