French native, I am in the final year of the Master of Teaching at the University of Melbourne. I have classroom-teaching experience gained in my placements at PLC, as well as experience as a language assistant and Alliance Française examiner. Mother of two bilingual children, educated in Paris with a previous Master degree in Finance, former investment banker in London, I will be a qualified secondary school teacher specialising in French and Business at the end of 2023 (currently First Class Honours with weighted average sitting at 86%) from Melbourne Uni. Binational, I am married to an Australian and I have been living in Australia for 15 years. Passionate about languages, I have worked as - a volunteer at Caulfield Junior College in the binational stream, - a French assistant at Camberwell Primary school and - an Alliance Française examiner (Berthe Mouchette competition) in many schools. In 2021, I have taught French at Presbyterian Ladies College for my placements, from Year 7 to Year 11. I have also been marking as an examiner the Berthe Mouchette competition including for the Y11 and 12 French IB and VCE oral components for several years. From my personal experiences as a language learner and teacher, I truly understand the challenges of learning an additional language and I am excited to be able to help others in their language journey. I am looking forward to helping my students strengthen their grasp of grammatical rules, reinforce their oral and listening skills through targeted practices and improve their writing. I can tailor specific grammatical reinforcement and support for writing assignments. I provide various resources including listening and reading related to the themes studied at school to strengthen both comprehension and vocabulary for specific IB/ VCE themes. I have observed IB classes during my placement, and done 2 IB-specific electives as part of my Master of Teaching at Melbourne Uni, including on the Diploma Programme. I am offering online tuition. I am currently in Paris where both my children are enrolled in French primary and secondary schools and I will be back at the end of June.
