Passionate and Enthusiastic tutor! [Band 6 for English Advanced, Biology, Society and Culture, SOR, Music 1. 95.3 ATAR] Hello! My name is Lucy and I'm a first year Physiotherapy at student at The Australian Catholic University! I'm friendly, and outgoing and looking forward to helping students find a love for learning. I currently tutor Biology, English Advanced, Society and Culture, and Music 1! Also offering assistance for Society and Culture major work concept development, research process, drafting and refining (38/40 PIP mark, First Place Society and Culture consecutively Years 11 and 12). My journey through Years 11 and 12 was filled with learning, and enthusiasm, but it was not without many trials and tribulations. I am a firm believer that academic successes in high school come through work ethic. My tutoring approach first focuses on developing strong fundamental understandings, because I know from my own experiences that this is where students find their love for learning. Once we have worked on this together, I take on the role of enthusiastic and encouraging partner to my students, challenging and pushing them academically to reach their brightest potential! I graduated in 2022 from St Vincents College Potts Point, from which I absorbed a vast range of teaching methods to maximise exam results and help students unlock a deeper understanding of how their subjects are asking them to approach study. Above all, I hope to develop a good relationship with each and every one of my students, extending my mentorship beyond the syllabus and becoming a part of their wide network of support during the HSC journey.
