About

UNSW Medicine | 99.70 ATAR | 98%ile UCAT Hi, my name is Alex/Chenglin Wu, a fourth year medical student at UNSW. 2022 HSC results: 95 Mathematics Extension 2 (accelerated HSC in Year 10) 98 Mathematics Extension 1 (accelerated HSC in Year 10) 95 Physics 93 Biology 93 Chemistry 92 English Advanced 900 Quantitative Reasoning 890 Abstract Reasoning I have taught 20+ students ever since I was in year 10, one of whom was an Year 12 student whom I taught Extension 2 Maths when I was in Year 11. 🡆 For students that need extra help: I understand that learning shouldn't be prescriptive, so I tailor my lessons according to my students' needs, bringing out their strong areas and identifying the weak areas. ALL (5+) of my struggling students have experienced an increase in marks from FAILING to 60-70% within the FIRST TERM of tutoring. 🡆 For students that wish to excel: I will challenge and help you build a strong theoretical foundation, strengthened by targetted practices. Many of my students have ended up with 99+ ATAR, and three students have ended up studying at UNSW medicine. My students will receive + Content learning - $85/hr + Free quality notes + Free Google Drive full of past papers and other resources ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The key to my success is resources and understanding of the bigger picture in regards to what you learn. In some classes, they provide a vague silhouette of learning, sprinkled haphazardly with information to memorise. My service offers WHAT to learn, and most importantly, HOW to learn. In my opinion, learning should not be a rote process, but rather a holistic one which focuses on purpose and structure. I've been there, I used to study English by memorising techniques and quotes and analysis, and I used to hate English because of it. However, I slowly began to discover the reasons behind why techniques are analysed and why the quotes progress in such a way. Once I understood the reasoning behind the process, I was able to experiment with the essay and argument structures myself. And this was how I developed an interest for the subject during the HSC year, which contributed to my mark. Now, replace me with my students, and English with any subject - that is the service I provide.
