🔥 97.75 ATAR! Hi, I'm James, I have a passion for ensuring all my achieve their dream ATAR! I am currently studying a Bachelor of Business & Bachelor of law at UTS.
Many students are NOT being taught by their schools how to structure their responses for HSC markers. Once I discovered how HSC markers want responses written my marks drastically improved, and now my students are acing their HSC due to my essay writing formula design specifically for the HSC.
During my tutoring lessons I will teach you my HSC formula which will simplify complex essays into simple and formulaic responses ensuring giving you far more clarity on exactly what you need to write and how you have to write it. I will sit with you and mark your work ensuing you understand how to write essays in theory, but also have the practical skills of how to turn your knowledge into fantastic results.
Additionally, I come prepared with pre made Band 6 resources and notes for all the subjects I tutor and pre-made quality exercises for you to complete, designed to rapidly improve your skills in time for your exams. I will work through the tasks with you and provided you with instant feedback. I will mark your answers live, teach you any concepts you still are unsure about and give you practical advice of how to apply all your knowledge in the exam hall! James has been my tutor since year 11 for English Advanced/Modern History and History Extension. Before I met James, I really struggled to convert my thoughts into succinct paragraphs without going off on tangents. James breaks down essays into really easy to follow formulas through breaking down an essay into 20 individual sentences. Through this, James helps me really focus in on each point I want to make in each sentence and say it in the most impactful way possible to ensure I get the band 6 marks I want. James has been instrumental to my success in year 12 and I can't recommend him enough!

James Hawkins has been my legal and English tutor through my HSC years and has provided great insight into essay writing in both subjects that have supplemented my in class learning to achieve personal best results. He is also very good in refining my short answers so I know where each mark comes and how to answer them accordingly, I’ve seen a huge increase in these short answers which were my weakest point at the start of my HSC studies. On the whole James is a great tutour that I would recommend, helped me heaps.
