Maya K.

Hi 👋, my name is Maya, and I graduated from North Sydney Girls High in 2022. I am currently in my fourth year of studying a Commerce/Law degree at UNSW, majoring in Finance. I specialise in tutoring HSC English, Maths, and Legal Studies, but am also available for other subjects. 🌟Relevant Experience🌟 I have had tutoring experience from Pre-Uni College, HSC tutoring experience from Art of Smart Education, and I have tutored privately since 2022. My teaching style is usually dependent on a student's needs and goals, but I like to take step-by-step approaches to create strong foundational skills before moving on to harder concepts or textual analyses. Coming from a learner's perspective, I appreciate mixed visual and verbal teaching styles, which I aim to include in my teaching as well :) As well as providing personalised lesson plans and structures, I also take a mentoring approach, e.g., helping students create study timetables and study plans to build macro skills and doing academic check-ins with students every term/every time we finish a module. In addition to normal tutoring, I also offer marking services (message me to find out price). 🌟HSC marks 🌟 ATAR: 98.60 Subjects: - English Advanced (95/100) - Maths Advanced (94/100) - Modern History (93/100) - Legal Studies (96/100) 🌟Travel Policy🌟 - Online - Libraries (North Shore area, Ryde area) - I do not do home visits 🌟Pricing🌟 Y7-9 (private) - $70/hour Y10 (private) - $75 Maths - $80 English and Other Writing Subjects Y11 (private) - $80 Maths - $85 English and Other Writing Subjects Y12 (private) - $85 Maths - $90 English and Other Writing Subjects If you would like group tutoring, prices are negotiable (depending on how many students - maximum 5 - pricing will be lower) Prices are also discounted when purchasing a lesson pack - please message me for more information.
