About

✏️ HD FRENCH STUDENT ✏️ 2+YRS EXPERIENCED TUTOR ✏️ E4 ENGLISH EXTENSION 2 ✏️ E3 ENGLISH EXTENSION 1 ✏️ FREE TRIAL 📍 About me Bonjour à tous ! I’m Koray and I’m a private French tutor. I've just finished a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in French and Francophone studies and minoring in Philosophy at the University of Sydney. I graduated from Concord High School back in 2019, where I achieved an E4 and E3 in English Extension 2 and Extension 1 respectively. Since I finished my HSC, I’ve grown a passion for learning the French language, culture and history. I started with Duolingo, then did some French with Learn French with Alexa. And then, when I got to Uni, what started as an elective become my major for my degree! 📝 7-12 French Tutoring📝 I remember how stressful the HSC period was, especially when it came to balancing between which subjects to prioritise and not to. What helped a lot during the time leading up to and it was a mentor, who was able to give me pointers on time management that helped me. Therefore, as a tutor, I can provide structured, NSW-curriculum based session plans that both challenge and consolidate your understanding of French, but also, give valuable “trucs et astuces” that I was given by my mentor in high school. ⁉️ Why French? ⁉️ So, why do you need a tutor in French? - Was it an elective you chose in Year 7/8, but now you’re stuck with it, and you need that extra push? - Have you hit the “language learning plateau” (Intermediate level where you can’t seem to advance)? - Don’t want your overall ATAR to fall because of French? Like English, Mandarin and Spanish, French is one of those mammoth, world-wide languages. Placed fifth as the most spoken language in the world after Spanish, French is a language spoken in all five continents of the world – according to La Francophonie. Therefore, even if you’ve picked up French as an elective in junior years and decided to go with it until Year 12, or you’re struggling and doing really see the point of doing it, from a purely factual point of view, French is a language you wouldn’t regret investing in! Through guided, NSW-curriculum based learning, and the “trucs et astuces” that I’ve picked up from my own High School mentor, I can direct, mentor and tutor you for French Beginners, Continuers or Extension in the same way I was, so that you not only get the Band 6 or E4 that you need, but also, an appreciation for the opportunities that present for you with a firm grasp of French under your belt. 🔎Areas of Focus🔎 ✅ HSC Mock Exam Assistance ✅ Verb tenses (A1-B2) ✅ Audio and written comprehension ✅ Mock Conversation Exam Help ✅ Grammar help (punctuation, tense, transitional words/phrases) ✅ Essay-building exercises ✅ Common pitfalls (gender, accord, que/qui) ✅ Guidance on Chat, Google Translate, DeepL learning tools Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and I’d be happy to accommodate to other focus areas or learning needs. À bientôt !

Hi, I'm one of Koray's tutors at uni; I taught him in 2022. Koray is a friendly and diligent student who treats his peers respectfully and throws himself into his studies and participates fully in class. I think he would be a great tutor; he is always prepared to volunteer answers in tutorials, and expresses himself clearly when he is explaining concepts. He also works well in groups, patiently encouraging his peers and keeping on task. He could teach you a lot, I'm sure!
