Hi! I’m Chloe, a private English tutor offering tuition for grades 5-12. With experience teaching students of all grades from K-12 at various levels of ability, I am able to provide support with fundamental skills to complex HSC analysis. I graduated with an ATAR of 97.65 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology. My familiarity with the NSW curriculum will allow for tutoring catered towards fostering confidence in essential skills and genres of writing, alongside highlighting what a marker is looking for in an exam setting. Experience and approach: I have experience tutoring all grades from K-12 from fundamentals of English to preliminary and HSC examination prep, and approach teaching with an adaptable style centered around the student’s ability and learning. With a passion for literature and writing, I am offering English tutoring for all grades, including English Advanced and English Standard for senior years. English Speciality: Within English, I hold the firm belief that all students have the ability to grow and develop no matter where they’re starting from. I aim to foster the growth mindset and ensure excellent understanding of the “building block” skills of English analysis. I focus on teaching essay structures, approach to specific questions, identification of literary techniques, persuasive and creative writing alongside specialized help catered to the prescribed text of the student. My extensive experience critically evaluating and marking written work allows me to provide detailed feedback, constructive criticism, and points of suggestion which are often unavailable in a busy classroom environment to develop your confidence and success. Online tutoring: I offer online tutoring on preferred platform (Zoom, Google Meets, Discord, etc.) at a rate of $65 per hour for students Year 11-12, $55 for students Year 7-10.
