Hi, I am a PhD-qualified, specialist English (Grammar & Literature) and Essay Writing Tutor with 10+ years’ experience who is passionate about guiding secondary students toward maximising their results in English Literature, Essay Writing, Creative Writing and English Grammar. I have worked professionally as a Journalist & Editor and taught as a sessional Lecturer at Deakin University. I have also Supervised Masters students with Essays up to 20, 000 words and I’m an award-winning Creative Writer whose short fiction, poetry and feature articles have been widely published. I tutor all Secondary students from year 9 level, with my specialty area being Year 11 & 12 VCE units 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. My Academic Qualifications include: • PhD in Creative Writing from Victoria University • Double Bachelor degree (with First Class Honors) in Literature and Professional Writing & Editing from Deakin University. • Diploma of Vocational Education & Training from Holmesglen Institute. I work at all times to: • make the tutorials fun: no engagement = no learning • ascertain the student's problematic issues • set about guiding the students toward practical ways of fixing those issues • building the student's self-belief and confidence in their English language skills, both written and oral, • and maximising students' grades in their English units.
