99.90 ATAR | Dux | Mathematics/Engineering Undergraduate Hi! I’m Douglas and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Mathematics / Bachelor of Engineering at UQ! I graduated in 2022 from Marist College Ashgrove. I'm available for all levels of maths and science (receiving >95% in senior physics, chemistry, methods and specialist externals) and have a blue card. I have 4 years of high school tutoring experience and 2 years of university mathematics experience. I specialise in senior Methods, Specialist, Physics, and Chemistry, focusing on building deep content understanding and teaching CU question strategies to maximise exam performance. Over my 4 years of tutoring, I've refined the way I teach each topic, and I also offer unique insight from a university mathematics perspective that allows particular topics to be bridged in a way that's not obvious at a high school level. I believe everybody has the capacity to be incredible at maths and science. There's a misconception that it's all about natural talent, but in my experience it's all about having the right explanation, the right practice, and someone who can spot exactly where the understanding breaks down.
