About

I have been tutoring high school students for two years. Subject I tutor are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Mandarin. I am a first-year student at UQ, studying a double degree in Computer Science and Law (Honours). In 2022, I graduated Year 12 at Queensland Academies Health Sciences with an IB43. I achieved a grade of 7 (highest grade) in Math Analysis & Approaches (AA) High Level (HL), Physics HL, Business HL, Chemistry Standard Level (SL) and Mandarin SL. I achieved a grade of 6 in English SL. I achieved HDs in both Physics and Chemistry at the Science Olympiad. I have won the Gold Coast Branch of the Modern Languages Teachers' Association of Queensland non-Chinese background Mandarin speaking competition twice (the only times I entered). I offer tutoring in Mathematics (any level), Physics (any level), Chemistry (all ATAR levels or IB SL) and Mandarin (Ab Initio). I am a young, experienced tutor. My tutoring style is to allow my students to practise their skills while providing support. I will explain complex issues in simple language and try a number of techniques to allow me to find the appropriate learning styles for each individual. I prefer individual sessions so I can focus on individual needs but will do small group sessions. I would prefer weekend or Friday evening sessions, as I will be living in Brisbane and focusing on my university studies during the week.
