I was exceptionally lucky to have found Bruno via an online search for tutors in my area who offered one-on-one, in-home French tutoring. I was self-learning online with zero opportunity to practice or develop any French speaking skills. I quickly learned how limiting book-learning can be and whilst speaking the language is super intimidating and confronting at first (because what beginner isn't intimated in front of a native speaker?!?!) Bruno quickly made me feel comfortable and encouraged me every step of the way. As an older learner (58) who has had lifelong issues with concentration and is very easily distracted, Bruno is skilled enough to subtly re-direct my focus back to the task at hand. He adapted immediately to my learning requirements and I've achieved a great deal in a relatively short period of time. Bruno tailors his lessons to the needs of the student and paces learning accordingly with a suitable balance of conversation practice and grammar. As a 'person', Bruno is intuitive, genuine, friendly, caring and takes a true and real interest in the student as an individual. He is genuinely hilarious so the laughter well balanced the many challenges that come with learning French.
