I'm Tiarna :D, a 4th-yr Engineering and Computer Science student whose best subject was Mathematics Extension 2. I’ve been teaching for 5 years now, with most of my students being year 11-12 HSC students (receiving an over 90 ATAR) and many more being year 9-10 students I’ve helped prep for years 11 and 12. I love teaching both the fundamental concepts and also in-depth theory and techniques to solve unseen questions. My lessons are personalised to the individual goals and needs of each student, with a focus on building academic confidence, general skills and problem solving ability. This ensures my students can apply what I've taught them to all subjects, not just those they see me for, and improve across the board. I push my students to perform at their best, while supporting them to make this goal achievable rather than overwhelming. My lessons cover subject-specific concepts, potentially ahead of or beyond the scope of their school class, study skills, exam technique, and logical reasoning development. I will teach you how to approach a question, how to break it down, and how to confidently give it a go. I will assist you to revise content during exam periods, help with things you are struggling with and walk-through practice/difficult questions and past papers. My lessons are flexible and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I provide practice questions from a range of textbooks, internal assessments and trial exams, past HSC exams and custom questions. I am also always available via message outside of lesson times to answer questions, provide exam support, or write students worked solutions to difficult problems. _____________________________________________________________________________
