I'm Nick Nguyen, and I recently graduated in 2022 from Trinity Grammar School, completing the International Baccalaureate. My Philosophy: Throughout school, I wasn't a kid who always thought I could be at or even near the top, and I always felt like there was a ceiling on my capabilities. However, with the right people around me, I surprised myself when I launched into the top 5 of my cohort, and once I knew I could do it, I stopped comparing myself to the average and instead focused on the top and my own continuous improvement. This is what I instil in my students; it's often hard to love or even like your subjects, but I teach my students the ways to save time and get top marks so that they can love the success instead! The IB is tough, but I save my students a lot of time teaching them exactly what to do and how to do it, especially with assignments, enabling them to hit higher bands and keep time for other subjects and hobbies. I've guided and mentored students with all different levels of motivation and prior skills, especially very distracted and lost students, tailoring my approach to each student to meet individual requirements and also build lasting rapport. I've even brought students to my university to enlighten them on what they're working hard for, as I believe in working with each student as a whole person to achieve what they truly want!
