About

Hey everyone! I graduated in 2021 with an ATAR of 99.85 and am currently studying my third year of The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University. I am currently offering in person tutoring in Bendigo for maths (year 7-10) and Mathematical Methods (1/2 and 3/4). Raw scores: Math Methods: 49 (2020) Physics: 50 (2021) Accounting: 50 (2021) Chemistry: 46 (2021) Specialist Math: 43 (2021) English: 44 (2021) Having learnt the math methods course twice (I pre-learnt it myself) and completed over 70 practice exam 1s and 70 practice exam 2s, I believe that I am well versed and well grounded in the this subject. With over 400 hours of tutoring experience and having tutored students from a variety of schools, I am very familiar with the different ways in which the course is taught and thus will mold my lesson plan around my student's knowledge. Something that I believe that is very underrated when it comes to tutoring is application and spaced repitition. For example, students may be able to solve a trigonometric equation point blank, but when it is asked in a different format (i.e. and long extended repsonse worded question) they will struggle. My tutoring will always look to integrate exam style questions so that students become used to thinking in the correct "Math Methods Mindset." Furthermore, teachers and tutors alike tend to neglect content that was taught in previous weeks, expecting the students to retain it completely. Having gone through my first year of medical school and having to deal with enormous amounts of content, I have come to appreciate the importance of spaced repetition for important concepts. I have begun to integrate this study technique into my students lessons, ensuring that we always have a small revision session at the start of each lesson on the previous week's topic. I am a very passionate tutor and I my main aim is to see students achieve their ambitions and goals. I believe my extensive knowledge of Math Methods puts me in a position to help students, and thus I am always open to answering questions or calls after hours. Hopefully I will see you soon!
