About
I grew up in the United States and graduated from College in 2007 with a BA in Education and History. I found my first job at an international school in Jerusalem, where I taught International Baccalaureate Diploma History and MYP Humanities. My job allowed me to indulge my passion for travel during term breaks. I left Jerusalem in 2010 and lived in Melbourne, Australia, where I worked as an IBDP Coordinator and taught HL History, HL Psychology, TOK, and Extended Essay. During this time, I became an IB Examiner for History Papers 1 & 2 and the History Extended Essay. We moved to Perth in April 2022 to be closer to family. When I am not teaching or traveling, I enjoy playing with my children, cooking, learning new languages, and reading high-quality fiction with a good cup of coffee.
My teaching style can be tailored based on your goals and how you learn best. I am a collaborator/coach with significant knowledge about course content as well as how the Diploma works and how examiners mark and excel in breaking down complicated or multi-step processes. I like to do lots of practice and review too!
