About
Hi, I’m Casey!
I believe tutoring should offer more than simply recreating the classroom. My goal is to give students a fresh perspective, a personalised and engaging approach, and clear explanations that cut through unnecessary complexity.
I’ve been tutoring for almost four years and am currently taking on new students as they begin Year 12 preparation in Term 4 of Year 11.
I graduated from TIGS (The Illawarra Grammar School) in 2022 with an ATAR of 92.20, where I attended on a Foundation Scholarship.
I’m currently studying Computer Science and Finance at the University of Sydney and am a STEM Cadet with the Australian Defence Force.
Academically, I am a Lifetime Member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, recognising the top 10% of my cohort at the University of Sydney. I was also named on the School of Computer Science Undergraduate High Honour Roll after maintaining a High Distinction average in 2024.
During Year 12, my Science Extension major work was recognised by the Australian Institute of Physics Magazine, and I received the Australian Future Innovators Award after ranking 1st in my cohort. I also participated in HICES Debating, the Chemistry Olympiad, and served as Mathematics Prefect in 2022.
I currently tutor:
• HSC Chemistry
• HSC Mathematics Advanced
• Year 10 Mathematics 5.3
I plan to continue tutoring these subjects into the future.
Every session has a clear purpose and is tailored to what the student needs most. This can include:
• Reviewing past, current, or upcoming syllabus content
• Practising HSC-style questions and developing exam technique
• Marking and providing detailed feedback on papers completed outside sessions
• Working through hand-in assessment tasks and providing constructive feedback
• Identifying knowledge gaps and building confidence in weaker areas
• Getting ahead of upcoming school content where appropriate
Students and parents value my attention to detail, patience, and ability to break difficult concepts into manageable steps. My focus is not just on short-term marks, but on helping students make steady, measurable progress throughout the year.
I’m also flexible with rescheduling and can often accommodate additional sessions around assessment periods and exams. I’m on your team, and I want to see my students succeed.
As required by law, I can provide a valid Working With Children Check before tutoring begins.
Pay As You Go: $60 per hour
Prepay 4 sessions: $55 per hour, $220 total
Prepay 10 sessions: $50 per hour, $500 total
During the January school holidays, I usually offer 25% off standard session pricing to encourage students to catch up on difficult content or get ahead before school resumes.
Conditions: All prepaid sessions expire at the end of the calendar year in which they are purchased. If less than 3 hours’ notice is provided for a cancellation or rescheduling request, the session fee will be forfeited, except in exceptional circumstances.
If you’d like to organise a free trial lesson, discuss what support you’re looking for, or check my availability, feel free to send me a message.
