About

Hi, I'm Andreas, currently studying a Bachelor of Media Arts and Production and a second major of Writing and Publishing at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) for a future in the film industry. For my Extension 2 English Major Work (49/50) I wrote a playscript/screenplay hybrid. I received E4 and Band 6 distinctions for Extension 1 English and Advanced English, both exams for that year highly focused on essay and creative writing components. Especially for Extension English, I allow for students to find their own footing and original ideas, whilst providing insight and practical backing on how to solidify such into marks (e.g templates, past work). Studying narrative subjects both theoretical and practical in my tertiary education, I have learnt to a deeper extent how such systems of creativity function. In saying this, I am able to help students scaffold their creative writing and essays into Band 6 and E4 examples. Explaining confusing rubric, guiding their writing's clarity and generally explaining structural elements of the HSC English courses are all services available. For Extension 2 English specifically, I am comfortable in the forms of: conventional short-story, script (playscript/screenplay) and multimedia project. As aforementioned, for my E4 major work I wrote a script, such experience allowing me to aid students on elements of the script-form that many teachers are perhaps unable to provide. Further, because of my area of university study and Band 6 Multimedia Technologies project, I can also provide assistance for any students attempting to create a multimedia project for their major work. For internal assessments, I can provide high-level student examples and make clear what is needed for high marks within complicated rubrics.
