Tutoring near Crawley, Perth, WA

About

Hi I'm a 3nd year dental student at the University of Western Australia. I've completed an undergraduate degree in B Science at the University of Adelaide with a chemistry and maths double major. With over 4 years in tutoring experience, I've improved my teaching strategies to suit the individual student. I am able to tutor secondary students in chemistry and maths (both maths methods and specialist maths) for all year levels. Due to my further study in the subjects I am able to support secondary students who want to excel and want a thorough understanding of the course and beyond. I'm a supportive teacher passionate about making a positive impact on the students. I understand what it feels like to get stuck and approach each problem with a problem solving mindset. I consider myself to be a life long learner and am constantly trying to improve my teaching methods for a more effective lesson. I enjoy the gratifying moment when a topic finally clicks, or the students find an interest in the subjects especially in ways that it can apply in their everyday life. I believe that the difference in students grades comes from the awareness of what you know. Developing skills of how much you understand a concept is important in asking the right questions. The recommended text book is the books based on WACE curriculum or the textbooks used by the school. I believe that the fundamentals are all contained within the textbooks used in schools but am willing to provide extended materials when necessary. I do both face to face tutoring at public libraries, or online tutoring is also available for sutdents who live further away.
