About

✅ 3YRS Experience ✅ 99.25 ATAR ✅ Tangible Results ✅ Scientifically Backed Methodology What’s up! My name is Mannan and I graduated with an ATAR of 99.25 in 2021 from Normanhurst Boys High School. I am currently studying Actuarial Studies and Commerce at UNSW. My Results Mathematics Extension 1 - 97 (Ranked Top 10) Mathematics Extension 2 - 94 (Ranked Top 15) ————————————————————————————————————————————— 🎉 2022 RESULTS 🎉 - 100% of students achieved B6 in Mathematics Advanced - 92% of students achieved E4 in Mathematics Extension 1 - 100% of students gained placement in Selective Schools ————————————————————————————————————————————— About My Teaching 🙎‍♂️ First things first, lets talk about YOU, and in particular, what YOU are going to get out of this. Here’s what to expect, 📍The Triple P Philosophy Perseverance. Progression. Perspective. These three simple empowering words drive my teaching style and are the main reasons for the continued success of all my students. But what do they actually mean? 🌟 Perseverance - Anytime. Anywhere. It’s as simple as that really. When I commit to students, I’m ALL IN, whether it be offering 24/7 support for any of YOUR questions or scouring through HSC’s dating all the way back to 1982 for new questions (yes, I’ve really done that for my students). I will do everything to help you succeed! 🌟 Progression - The Progressive Overload Principle is utilised in fitness and means that individuals should gradually lift heavier and heavier weight to improve their strength. Having applied the same approach to tutoring, there is a direct correlation between completing harder questions and getting better results which is why I focus on helping you improve 1 step at a time! 🌟 Perspective - An open mind is crucial when it comes to teaching. Some students consume content audibly, others excel visually, some just want to complete hundreds of questions, whilst others like to learn and have fun! However it is, catering to a students learning style is vital for success. 📍 Holistic Education I prefer the term mentor rather than tutor because whilst my main role revolves around academic success, I also want to see you succeed in everything you choose to do! To achieve this, I provide students with a range of SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN plans and resources that lead to exemplary results in an academic and non-academic context. 📍 Resources Getting your hands on reliable, exemplar resources can be difficult, which is why I provide my students with professionally embellished materials that surpass exam difficulty in hopes to garner a deeper level of understanding. ————————————————————————————————————————————— 🥇 About You 🥇 Now, before I continue, let’s talk about what I’M looking for. After all, tutoring is a TWO-WAY-STREET, I can only help you if you’re willing to help yourself! My tutoring is for you if you are: 🚀 Willing to understand - In my experience, students who are actively seeking to participate and understand core concepts are those who generally receive better results! 🚀 Unafraid to fail - Quite a contradictory trait, however to me, the willingness to fail demonstrates the willingness to try! If you are a student that constantly tries no matter the result, I can guarantee that with my help you will reach your goals! ————————————————————————————————————————————— 📚 Subjects and Pricing 📚 Please find below the current subjects I’m teaching and their associated rates. Subjects Y11-12: Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Standard Y7-10: Mathematics, English, Science Primary School: Mathematics, English, Selective Test Tuition Pricing One-On-One: $60-$80 Group: $40-$50pp (Reach out to finalise) ————————————————————————————————————————————- 🧠 My Motivations 🧠 The reason I am so motivated when it comes to teaching students is because, not only was I one of you but I also faced some of my most challenging obstacles in my senior years. Fun fact (I probably shouldn’t admit this but oh well!), I received my lowest ever mark for a maths test in my Mathematics Extension 2 half yearly. It was a mark of 52%, way below average and way below my expectations. I had done everything I could think of, studied out of multiple textbooks, completed hundreds of practice questions from past exams, revisited and revised foundational knowledge, but yet it seemed that my nerves had gotten the better of me. However, after coming to terms with it and using the methods I teach my students, I was actually able to rank in the top 5 in the very next exam! So believe me when I say this, I know exactly what it feels like to study for hours and hours on end to receive a mark well below what you know you can achieve. If you have any questions or clarifications feel free to contact me!
