99.95 ATAR, 2022 Dux of Churchie.
Hey, my name is John and I graduated from Churchie in 2022, currently studying a Bachelor of Science and majoring in Pharmacology at the University of Melbourne with the Melbourne Chancellor's Scholarship. I was highly successful in Year 12, achieving the highest possible ATAR and obtaining raw marks of 100 in Methods, 99 in Specialist, Chemistry and English, 98 in Physics and 94 in French. I did not lose any internal marks for any subject other than French.
I am tutoring online only, but I do both assignment help and general syllabus teaching/assistance. Having tested and refined many tutoring approaches, the best I've come up with is to cover the entire syllabus to identify my student's weakest areas, then strengthen those areas by thoroughly explaining any tricky concepts or ideas, for an overall personalised experience. I've read through and am now familiar with the new 2025 QCAA syllabus.
Having tutored all kinds of students, I've learnt to adapt and help students of any aptitude or level, by cementing the fundamentals if they need it, or teaching and polishing the finer nuances if they’re already comfortable with the subject matter. I also help make sure their study strategies are efficient so that they can minimise wasted time. With a significant number of practice exams at my disposal, there always be sufficient practice questions to go through to really grasp the hardest techniques.
Regarding assignments, I assist in proofreading and providing helpful advice regarding how to tick all the boxes for each ISMG. In addition, I provide my perfect IA exemplars, so students can see what to aim for with their own assignments.
