HSC ENGLISH SPECIALIST | MED STUDENT | 60+ STUDENTS OVER 25 SCHOOLS | 3.5 YRS EXP | 98 ENG ADV Hi, I’m Eugenie and I graduated from James Ruse Agricultural High School in 2022 with an English Advanced mark of 98 (highest in the cohort) and English Extension mark of 47 (94 equivalent). I am currently studying the Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Newcastle and have been tutoring English for 3+ years to 60+ students over 25 schools. Although I have always loved English, it was through my experience as an English tutor that I’ve come to understand how the seemingly subjective nature of the HSC English syllabus can make the subject daunting. I hope through my personalised yet methodological approach tailored to each student that an appreciation and enjoyment for the subject can be created, which will ultimately be translated into exceptional performance. In my experience teaching, I’ve seen students vastly improve through: • A carefully developed understanding of essay form and structure • Creating unique nuances in concept and idea to stand out from their peers • A new perspective on analysis that allows for easy translation of ideas onto paper (where I’ve seen the ability to express ideas is notably difficult in English students) • The ability to construct multiple complex ideas connecting the text and the rubric whilst developing adaptation skill to effectively respond to any curveball question • Emphasising practice and routine in optimising their approach to HSC English What I provide: • Extensive Band 6 notes, quote banks and essays across HSC texts • Practise questions and SAQ past papers • Essay marking and feedback services My experience spans 60+ students over 25 schools, including James Ruse, North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, Hornsby Girls, Normanhurst Boys, Sydney Boys, Sydney Girls, Fort Street, Burwood Girls, Strathfield Girls, Mount St Benedict, Brigidine College, Reddam House, Pymble Ladies’ College, Concord High, Carlingford High, Cherrybrook Tech, PLC Croydon, St Aloysius College, Marist Eastwood, Trinity Catholic College, Ravenswood, Meriden, Newington College and Knox Grammar.
