I have been tutoring Chemistry for almost 4 years now, and have extensive experience with the subject, helping numerous students to band 6 scores. In 2022 and 2023 I worked tirelessly, completing as many mock exams as possible, yet recieved underwhelming scores on both occasions, which meant I wasnt eligible to even sit the interviews. In 2024 I hit the reset button, shifting my preparation focus towards strategy. I told myself I would forget everything about the UCAT, and became intentional on developing efficient question solving strategies not just for each subtest, but for every specific question type. These are the same strategies that I now share with my UCAT students, who all scored in the 90th percentile or above in 2025. This shift in preparation paid off dramatically. My score of 3300 allowed me to recieve extensive interview offers, something which used to be so elusive for me.
