My name is Kevin and I graduated from James Ruse Agricultural High School in 2022 with an ATAR of 99.65. Upon graduation, I have received offers to study medicine and law from over five of the top universities in the country. (USYD, MONASH, UMELB, UNSW, UQ, UADELAIDE) I have chosen to study a Bachelor of Medical Science / Doctor of Medicine (BMed/MD) at Monash University in Melbourne. I have had extensive experience as a tutor both in tuition companies and privately. What I have learnt throughout the years of teaching is that students not only progress at difference rates, but they also have different motivators and ways of understanding the same idea or concept. This realisation forms the basis of my style of teaching. I evaluate each student in our very first lesson. I gauge their current level of understanding, learning style, potential for success and most importantly, their attitude towards learning. It is indeed a difficult task for a tutor to adapt their teaching dynamics with each of their students but I think this is the best way for my students to absorb new concepts and ideas as organically and efficiently as possible. My lessons are offered via a licensed Zoom platform where students can view my class notes from my iPad which offers a seamless learning experience.
