Hi, I’m Sam — a qualified Software Engineer with a strong passion for education and mentoring. Outside of my engineering work, I dedicate my time to private tutoring, where I support students not only in improving their academic performance, but also in building confidence and motivation. I take a holistic approach to tutoring: for me, it’s not just about solving problems on a page — it’s about helping students understand why things work, develop a genuine interest in the subject, and feel capable in their abilities. I create an engaging, supportive, and collaborative environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow from them. My sessions are tailored to each student’s needs, and I strongly believe in fostering a growth mindset, especially in areas where students may have struggled in the past. I have tutored for the last 9 years, helping over 100 students, helping students achieve their 90+ ATAR goals. I specialise in year 11/12 Mathematica . I graduated high school in 2016 as DUX with an ATAR of 99.05, i then went on to complete a double degree in computer science and biomedical engineering. NOTE: The base rate is $80 and the maximum rate (VCE subjects) is $95 I genuinely love tutoring and seeing students have those “lightbulb” moments — it’s the most rewarding part of what I do.
