I tutor students in years 7-12 mentoring them in Maths, Science, Physics. I have been tutoring since 2019 (5 years experience) and have allowed many students to reach their academic goals. +------------------------------ -+ | 🟢2023 STUDENT SUCCESSES | +---------------------------------+ Here are some of the many successes of my 2023 students. James. L Graduated with a 99.90 ATAR. 98 4U, 98 3U Michael. K Graduated with a 99.80 ATAR. 98 4U, 96 3U. Lucille. B Graduated with a 99.75 ATAR. 97 4U, 97 3U. And 10+ other students who achieved >99.00 ATAR ALL MY 2023 STUDENTS ACHIEVED BAND 6 IN SUBJECTS I TUTORED THEM FOR. These are just a few of my students (2023) and their successes which have been achieved with my specialized and thorough teaching method. +----------------------------+ | ❓How am I so effective? | +----------------------------+ At school, you're confused, have no-one to ask questions, and going to lose marks in exams. I teach differently. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ✨I foster breakthrough moments. My explanations are thorough, visually engaging, and logical, ensuring you experience a weekly moment of clarity that fosters profound comprehension. This deep grasp of the subjects boosts your confidence, speed, and precision during exams. This is one of the ways my student James L (2023) went from averaging rank 40-50s in Year 11, to a 99.90 in Year 12. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ✨ one to one 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽. In class, we go through the content to get you ahead. After class, I'll help you 1-1 with questions, school work, or to review your assignment. No more getting stuck for hours. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ✨ 8341 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. That's how many questions I practiced for the HSC. Yes, I counted. Practice questions show you what concept to apply and where. Being exposed to practice questions translates theory from simply words, to an actual, tangible idea that you can grasp confidently. These 8341, and much more, will be made available to you. You don't even have to ask, or sort through them: I'll do that, based on what I think, or you think you need help with at a particular time. This helped my student, Michael K. get a 99.80 ATAR in 2023. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ✨ 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. We'll have regular checkins. I'm not just a tutor, I'm a mentor. From university and scholarship applications to balancing school, life and work, and how to effectively use your time, I've done it all and I'm keen to share my knowledge with you. Efficient time management is what allowed my student Lucille B. (2023) to go from a predicted 99.00 to achieving 99.75. +-------------------------+ | ❓ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 | +-------------------------+ 💬 "O𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱." Its likely that this is due to a bad experience with online lessons at school, particularly during COVID online schooling. This is understandable - if a teacher gave me a worksheet to me for an hour and left, or droned on about a topic without engaging with me or checking my understanding, I'd also feel disconnected and disinterested. In fact, this actually does describe how online schooling went for me at NSB! Fortunately, I recognise these flaws and have a tailored, interactive approach where the instructor actively involves the student, uses dynamic teaching methods, and provides immediate feedback can dramatically alter the online learning experience. All my students, even the Y7-8s, are able to stay focused online simply because of my engaging teaching methodology. When done right, online tutoring is immensely more effective due to there being no need to travel, comfort and safety at home, and allows the class to leverage technology much more effectively. 💬 "𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱." I can absolutely understand, I've endured some pretty awful and ineffective online or group lessons as well! But could the issue stem from the format or the instructor themselves? It's common for students to feel overlooked in group settings, particularly if the instructor isn't fully engaged. To keep students engaged, I make it a point to ask them questions throughout the lesson. I keep an eye on each student to ensure no one is getting left behind. I'm also available for one-on-one assistance after class throughout the week, even dedicating an hour to you if necessary! The market is saturated with tutors, yet how many can boast being at the top in NSW? Not many possess a deep understanding of maths or the ability to explain these concepts in a way that clicks, understanding why students drop marks and how to improve them. This expertise is what drives the results you see above. 💬 "𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲?" No one wants to be in an environment where they're far behind everyone else. For your information: when our students start they all come in at around average. We have selective (NSB, Ruse, etc), private (Scots, Abbotsleigh, Knox, Cranbrook etc) and comprehensive (Ryde secondary, Epping etc). Anyone who is behind at the start won't be for, for long. We help them catchup to the pace by answering their questions, providing support material and guiding them on what they need to do to catch up. Any prerequisites for concepts in class are always explained first, so you won't have to be confused like I was when I was taught further trig without knowing what Radians were in Year 11. 💬 "𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?" They can ask during class, which will be responded to. I have small group classes ensuring a small student to teacher ratio so that everyone receives the attention they need. Also, you can ask me whatever outside of class as well, just text or email me! +--------+ | ❓ 𝗙𝗔𝗤 | +--------+ 💬 "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 group classes 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?" We have one 2 hour session per week. It's online, via google meet. 💬 "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀?" We start the lesson with a 10 min quiz. Then we go through a new concept and then do a few questions to solidfy it. Then we repeat this for the whole lesson. When exam time comes, we do revision lessons where a practice exam is sent before class, and the hard questions students request are reviewed in class. 💬 "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?" I accept payment via Bank Transfer. Private: Billed weekly. Group: Billed termly. If you wish to discontinue, all unused lessons will be refunded, in full, to you. For your first lesson, you can wait until after the lesson to pay. If you are dissatisfied, you only have to pay for the first lesson. 💬 "𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀?" For group lessons we have special holiday classes. These run at a different pace, a bit faster. For private - we can, but this is up to you. 💬 "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀?" The two reasons why students don't succeed in their exams is because they lack a deep understanding of concepts, and because they haven't been exposed to enough practice questions. We combat this by going beyond the surface to ensure students grasp the underlying principles. Then, we expose them to a massive variety of questions, teaching them strategies to tackle each. This culminates into mastery of a topic, which we then rinse and repeat until they are prepared for their exams. We also give them access to our private collection of resources and 500+ past papers. 💬 "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?" Our students typically come with marks at, or a bit below average. We get a mix of selective (NSB, NSG, Ruse etc), private (Scots, St Patricks, Meriden etc) and comprehensive high schools (Castle Hill, Carlingford HS etc). You don't have to be smart for our classes. All that matters is that you have the willingness to learn. +----------------+ |🔶 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀:| +----------------+ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ 99.90 ATAR 1st in NSB HSC Mark 4U Maths 1st in NSB HSC Mark 3U Maths 3160 UCAT (97th Percentile) 8th in State for 2022 HSC SDD 200+ Students taught 5+ years experience So, what are you waiting for?
