UNSW MEDICINE (2026) || 99.8 ATAR || JAMES RUSE GRADUATE (2020) Hello, my name is Joanna Zhou and I am a fourth-year medical student at UNSW and I have tutored for four years straight with excellent results with students who made UNSW medicine (2021) and USYD Law (2022). As a student who has maintained academic excellence throughout high school, I would love to share my study tips and help understand complex content to help you achieve your best. I also offer medicine interview training which can be extremely daunting as it is the last obstacle before medical school and everything seems to come down to it but I have a lot of tips and advice to share having gone through it and had medicine offers from major universities such as The University of New South Wales, University of Queensland and the University of Adelaide. Other previous experience includes maths mentoring for 2 years at James Ruse where we helped younger students who wanted assistance with complex concepts. Teaching: - I specialise in english and maths and have detailed lesson plans for each subject that I will further tailor to my student’s needs whether it be upcoming assignments, preparing for exams or trying to get ahead of their cohort - I conduct my lessons online over Google Meets because it is very convenient for sharing screen and collaborating students and I am fully equipped for online teaching. Time wise I am very flexible, just around my university schedule. - For English, I’m passionate about teaching my students how to WRITE and ANALYSE rather than simply follow a rigid set of guidelines because that limits one’s potential. I will provide ALL my notes and exemplars to my students and I have a WIDE range of questions and activities that will really help my students build a solid foundation. - For Maths, I believe that the key to success is consolidating your knowledge through past papers and really getting exposed to all the possible types of questions that can be examined.
