My name is Josie and I am a Psychology and Science teacher at McKinnon Secondary College. I have been teaching VCE Psychology for 5 years, and as a result have a deep understanding of the skills, techniques and tips that can help you reach your maximum potential in this subject! I can provide structured sessions to cover all areas of the study design, with particular focus on how VCAA examiners have marked questions in the past, and how this can inform your future SAC and exam responses. I'm also passionate about summarising the study design into concise, easily decodable forms, as I know the study design as a whole can be difficult to interpret when you don't have teaching experience! Alternatively, I'm happy to facilitate student led sessions - in which students bring their queries or concerns, and we discuss and develop an understanding of the concept or question together. I can also provide feedback on written responses between sessions, if that is something you're looking for! Every day, I help my students to be their best selves, both academically and personally. I strive to motivate my students to learn and grow. During my education, I always had a passion for Science, and was incredibly interested in Biology and Psychology. I found a method of study that made me enjoy learning and revising, helped me to achieve study scores in the 40s for all of my science subjects, and allowed me to Dux Psychology in my year. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and wish to inspire others to find enjoyment in learning. I have always loved helping others achieve academic success - and would love to help you!
