Hi, I'm Alison! I'm currently studying Medicine at UNSW and I have 5 years of tutoring experience. I'm passionate about English and literature and I enjoy reading and writing. I'm offering one-to-one or group of two sessions, specifically tailored to your goals/assessment tasks. We'll work together to build your understanding, increase confidence and improve your performance. Lessons will be planned to work towards your goals and expectations and will be specific to the texts you study at school. Essay and creative writing marking/feedback services are also available if needed. I'll be committed to becoming your mentor and I'm happy to help with other academic areas, such as creating effective study habits or applying for and interviewing for Medicine. Subjects offered (NSW syllabus): - Year 7-10 English - Year 11-12 English Advanced - Year 11-12 English Extension 1 HSC exam results: - English Adv: 93/100 - English Ext 1: 47/50 Student results: 2023 HSC results: 100% of my 2023 Year 12 students achieved a Band 6 in English Advanced or Extension 1! 2024 HSC results: 1 x English Ext 1 student achieved 48/50! 2 x English Adv students achieved 92, 2 x English Adv students achieved 89 Rate: $80/hr Year 12, $70/hr Year 11, $60/hr Year 7-10, $40/hr group of 2 (bring a friend!) Group sessions are capped at two students to ensure adequate individual attention. Each student will get the same amount of support as in a 1-1 session.
