Hi, I'm Esther! I am a fourth year Medicine student at UNSW, who graduated from Pymble Ladies' College in 2021.
Entry into medicine can be confusing and complicated for even the most academically talented students. With each university having different admissions requirements, different weightings between ATAR, UCAT and interview and even wildly different interview styles, it can be hard to know what to do. As someone who agonised over her own admissions process, I've learnt a lot of tips and tricks that can help you maximise your chances at medicine.
Over the past three years, I have tutored students from all different backgrounds, aiming for medical schools all across Australia. Of my 16 students who interviewed in the past three years, 13 got into at least one medical school!
Medical interviews are the most important but often most misunderstood part of medicine applications. As someone with first-hand experience of both MMI and panel-style interviews, I can help make sure you are ready to face the wide range of questions that interviews can bring.
While every interview preparation site says 'be yourself', it doesn't hurt to also be prepared. Hence, in my sessions, I make sure my students have a good understanding of the ethics underpinning the medical profession, and how to discuss this in the interview setting. I explore common themes for interview questions and how to present answers to be concise but comprehensive. Students are also encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and how best to discuss them, as well as perfect their outward presentation. These sessions are tailored to the preparedness level of each student and universities applied to. Through all this, I make sure that students are ready to present not only themselves but their best selves during interviews.

i would highly recommend esther as an interview tutor!! she is super insightful about what interviewers are looking for, and she helps you get comfortable with the interview style so you are more prepared on the day. she is great at providing detailed feedback on your performance so you can nitpick where you went wrong and perform your best. she also has a plethora of resources which is really helpful! with her help, i got into unsw medicine!

Esther was such a supportive tutor who helped me start my medical interview prep. Esther was great for me for interview tutoring. Really nice and got straight to the point aboutUNSW interview with a well structured class and lots of questions that made me well prepared. Overall, it got me feeling a lot more confident going into the interview. I ended up getting an unbonded spot at the kensington campus as a VIC student which was amazing!
