About
Hi there, I'm Grace. I have been tutoring for over three years now and really enjoy helping students understand their content and manage their time. I'm currently studying a double degree of PPE (politics, philosophy and economics) and science (majoring in climate science) at the Australian National University. I graduated year 12 in 2021 from the IB program with a 92 atar.
I offer in-person (and online) tutoring for students in Canberra and online tutoring for students in Melbourne.
I find that online tutoring still works really well. I utilise screen sharing and annotating tools with my students that help us so collaborate and see each other's work. This also allows me to be more flexible and able to change session times to what suits my students best.
I initially started tutoring with a focus on executive function. I like to try to keep this in the back of my mind for all my tutoring sessions so I can help students with their time management with the goal of setting them up well for later years in school. I aim to nurture student's confidence and help them to feel comfortable at school.
I have experience with students from grade 3 up to year 12. My passion and the majority of my experience is with middle and early-year high school students who have learning difficulties and struggle a bit with school. I have experience working with students with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, ASD and auditory processing delays.
