About
Hi there! I’m a qualified secondary Mathematics teacher with a strong passion for helping students build both confidence and capability in Maths. I completed my teaching degree specialising in Mathematics, achieving marks in the 90s across all Maths units, and graduated with an ATAR of 96+. Since the beginning of 2024, I have been teaching Mathematics in secondary school settings while also continuing my tutoring work with students from Years 7–12, including VCE Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics.
I believe that while academic achievement is important, effort, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning are just as valuable. Personally, I enjoy Maths because it challenges logical thinking and problem-solving in a rewarding and engaging way (: Through working with young people across a range of schools and learning environments, I have come to understand how important it is for students to feel supported by someone who is flexible, approachable, knowledgeable, and encouraging.
As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I help students clarify difficult concepts, work through targeted practice questions, and identify common misconceptions so they can improve with confidence. My experience across diverse secondary school contexts has strengthened my skills in differentiated teaching, curriculum planning, and adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs.
Above all, I am passionate about helping students reach their goals and believe that, with the right support and guidance, every student can succeed in Mathematics.
