HSC English Tutor || 94 English Advanced || Modern History & PDHPE Hi! My name is Kalan. I graduated in 2022, and have been tutoring for 3 years, working with over 30 students and covering a range of HSC English texts across both Advanced and Standard subjects. Under my guidance, Students have seen improvements up to 30% in their English results and this is because I work hard to understand them, and their learning style which allows me to cater my lessons to the students specific needs. I understand more then most that English can be the most tedious and disheartening subject of all throughout high school. At the end of year 11 I was at the bottom of my cohort for English Advanced, however, by the end of year 12 I had achieved first place ranking, and sequentially, a mark of 94 in my English Advanced HSC. I know exactly how it feels to be at the bottom, and also at the top in relation to English. This possesses me with a unique ability to target adjustment areas for my students, and by extension, improving their english results. My goal as a tutor is to not only supply my knowledge, experience, and examples of Band 6 essays, but to work one on one with my students and help deliver them the fulfilling sense of achievement and satisfaction obtaining their academic potential in English.
