Character references

James was always prepared and ready for online tutoring lessons. He was great at explaining things due to his very good understanding of first principles and is very knowledgable. He was so approachable, I was able to contact him outside of lessons if I was ever stuck and needed help. I wasn't doing so well with Physics and I got 100% in the exam not long after I started online tutoring with James. I had him from year 11 up until my HSC. Online tutoring worked really well for me.

James is a patient and understanding tutor who creates a positive and encouraging learning environment for students. Whilst James is distinguished in his HSC results and other academic achievements, the true merit in his teaching lies within his passion for the subjects of maths and science. This passion is transistive and spurred me to ask more questions about my lessons in and out of the classroom which made me further enjoy my subjects, making studying effortless. This I believe is James' strongest quality as a tutor; being able to instil a sense of self agency toward studying which carries students into university and beyond. With the independence and discipline fostered under James' teaching I was able to graduate with the 3rd highest ATAR in my grade at a top 10 selective highschool.
