Hey! My name is Rohan and I am a recent graduate of Epping Boys High School. I received a 99.55 ATAR and came 5th in the state for Economics (98). I am now currently studying a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney.
Graduating in 2021 was both arduous and challenging for myself and many other HSC students. My experience of studying during the lockdown period had allowed me to discern the true value of receiving guidance and advice. As such, this has bolstered my enthusiasm and motivation to be a dedicated and easily approachable tutor during these tough times. Moreover, through my experience as a recent Year 12 student and having conducted over 1000+ hours of tutoring, I am very familiar with the syllabus and content of the subjects that I am tutoring (Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics Advanced and English Advanced).
When conducting my lessons, I do not focus on simply memorising the textbook and encourage rote learning. Instead, what I have found to be incredibly important is to spend time on understanding the actual fundamentals of a concept. When mastering that concept, answering any question (multiple choice, short answer, essay) will become a smooth process and one that is second nature. Moreover, I will ensure that focusing on the student's weaknesses will be of the highest priority and that lesson time will be used efficiently. In addition, students will also have access to my resources (notes, practice questions and essays) which are all Band 6 quality.
