I am a North Sydney Boys' graduate and a versatile tutor with 5 years of teaching experience specialising in Year 11 and 12 Maths! I'm willing to tutor Year 11 and 12 Mathematics (Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2) in addition to junior high school Maths. In 2021, I graduated with a 99.95 ATAR. I have studied an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Minor in Computer Science, and am currently in my 2nd year of my postgraduate Doctor of Medicine at USYD. Below are my HSC marks: - 96 in English Advanced (6th @ NSB) - 99 in Mathematics Extension 1 (4th @ NSB) - 97 in Mathematics Extension 2 (2nd @ NSB) - 98 in Chemistry (2nd @ NSB) - 94 in Physics (7th @ NSB) - 96 in Engineering (2nd @ NSB) I offer tutoring for the following subjects: - Preliminary and HSC Mathematics (Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2 (HSC only)) - Year 7-10 Mathematics My tutoring has a strong focus on what the student wants and accommodating the student's needs. Whether this be wanting to excel ahead of school, reinforce existing concepts, or help with homework and past papers, I am open to being flexible and changing my curriculum to suit the student's requests. When teaching, I believe in forming a strong conceptual understanding of the concepts at hand before diving in to tackle practice problems. Having the right approach to studying can make the exam process significantly easier. Having experienced the HSC myself, I am also able to completely empathise with the hardships of the HSC journey, helping students out with all-around study tips to make sure they are in the right mindset to tackle this significant obstacle in their lives. I charge $120/hour for 1-on-1 tutoring. To keep pace with the school curriculum, I’ll suggest a number of tutoring hours each week based on the maths course you’re taking, but we can discuss and adjust this to suit your needs.
