Hi, I'm Elena a recent graduate of Queensland Academies for Creative Industries (QACI) where I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma. I graduated in 2022 with an IB score of 42 (ATAR 98.95) and am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Queensland. Throughout the 2-year diploma program, I tutored my fellow peers in a chemistry club I organised for my CAS project. Furthermore, I already have experience working as a QACI alumni tutor. As a recent IB graduate, I can ensure up-to-date knowledge of the current syllabi, ensuring that I provide students with targeted advice to improve their results. Marks achieved in IB subjects tutored: 7 - Chemistry SL/HL: Ranked 2nd in my cohort and consistently achieved strong 7s throughout the diploma (~95%) 7 - Mathematics AA SL: Consistently achieved 7s. I obtained a deep understanding of the course since I studied it at a higher level in the first year of my diploma. I can also provide assistance with the IA. High grade 6 - Physics SL/HL: Ranked 2nd in my cohort achieving 7s in both years. I received a strong IA mark of 21/24 and can offer my insight to help students improve their marks. EE: I wrote my extended essay in chemistry where I investigated the freezing properties of biofuels made from different oils. This was predicted an A - 29/34.
