About

129 Days Until the HSC. If Maths isn't where it needs to be, there's still time to turn things around. I’m a HSC Maths Specialist. Book a Free Meet-and-Greet to get a clear plan. 💯 Every year, I meet students who wish they had started sooner. 😓 The trials didn't go as planned. Confidence has taken a hit. Topics are piling up. The HSC is getting closer, and the pressure is starting to feel very real. ⏳ I also speak with parents who are worried. They can see their child working hard, but something isn't clicking. They know how important these final months are and want to make sure their child has every opportunity to succeed. 💭 If this sounds familiar, you're exactly the type of person I help. 🎯 The final months before the HSC are not about relearning the entire course from scratch. They're about identifying the gaps that matter most, strengthening exam technique, and making every hour of study count. ⚡ To do this, I use a structured HSC preparation system that focuses on the areas that make the biggest difference. 📚 ✅ Step 1: Refresh Every Topic We systematically work through each topic in the syllabus, revisiting the key concepts, formulas, and techniques students are expected to know. This helps students identify gaps in their understanding and build a solid foundation across the entire course. 🧠 ✅ Step 2: Master HSC Questions Once the foundations are in place, we work through past HSC questions topic by topic. Students learn how concepts are assessed, what examiners are looking for, and the most effective ways to approach different question types. 📝 Every question is broken down in detail so students understand not just the answer, but the thinking process required to solve it independently under exam conditions. 🔍 ✅ Step 3: Develop Exam Technique Knowing the content is only part of the challenge. Many students lose marks because of poor exam technique, time management, or avoidable mistakes. ⚠️ To prepare for exam day, we work through at least eight trial HSC papers under exam-style conditions. Rather than jumping straight into full exams, I gradually build exam pressure in a structured way, helping students develop stamina, speed, accuracy, and confidence under timed conditions. 📈 A typical pathway looks like this: ✅ Step 1: Approx. 5 x 2-hour classes ✅ Step 2: Approx. 25 x 2-hour classes ✅ Step 3: Approx. 15 x 2-hour classes This structure is flexible depending on how much time is left before the HSC. The earlier we start, the more space there is to move through each stage gradually. As we get closer to the exam, we adjust the pace to ensure all three stages are still completed effectively. 🧩 Beyond maths support, I work closely with students throughout the HSC journey as a consistent mentor and guide. I make sure they feel supported, clear on what they need to do next, and confident asking questions whenever they get stuck or overwhelmed. 🧭 By the time students reach the HSC, the difference is no longer just knowledge. It’s whether they can stay calm, recognise what a question is really asking, and execute under pressure when it counts. 📊 For many students I work with, that shift is the turning point. What once felt overwhelming becomes familiar. What once caused panic becomes a structured process they know how to handle. 🔁 Instead of walking into the exam hoping things go well, they walk in knowing they’ve already done it repeatedly in practice under the same conditions. 🏁 If you’re at the point where you know the next few months will determine everything, the most effective step is clarity. 💡 In a free 30-minute meet-and-greet, we’ll look at exactly where things stand now, what’s realistically achievable before the HSC, and whether this approach is the right fit to get you there. 🤝 --- REVIEWS --- "Sabrina has been helping me prepare for one and a half years, and during my HSC, I felt so well-prepared that I had a whole hour left after finishing to review all my answers. After finding I was significantly struggling with maths during my final years of high school approaching my HSC, my parents found Sabrina to help me get up to speed with my peers. Sabrina is very well prepared for each lesson and was able to assess my needs and work with me to improve in maths. I always enjoyed my lessons and getting to know Sabrina personally which I felt was a great attribute to her as I could comfortably discuss with her when I was struggling. She always took the time to go over course concepts and fully explain until I self-proficient. I was able to attain a Band 6 in my HSC which felt unbelievably unattainable before I met Sabrina. She was remarkable in providing me the courage and building my motivation to study and perform to highest ability. I cannot thank Sabrina enough for the help she gave not only in maths but in mentoring and friendship during my tutoring times with her.

My daughter Brooke was tutored by Sabrina for almost 2 years over year 11 and 12. During this time Brooke's academic results significantly improved with each assessment. She was offered a higher class in her grade due to her notable improvement in the course. She received a band 6 in the HSC and this would not have been possible without the constant guidance and support from Sabrina. Not only did Sabrina focus entirely on the mathematical side but spent time getting to know Brooke and her interests and became a great mentor for her during her final school years. She kept her accountable and enthusiastic to learn. I recommend Sabrina highly to any parent looking for a tutor for their child.

Character references

I have previously worked with Sabrina in a teaching environment and I am certain that she would be a great tutor for high school students. She is an extremely supportive and encouraging person, expresses herself clearly, and always enjoys talking about maths, science engineering and design. She is also a really dedicated, timely, and highly organised person who is passionate about what she does. She is a great co-worker, an amazing person too, and I believe she would make a great private tutor.
