He has provided me with invaluable feedback regarding the structure of essay writing and has thoroughly explained the concepts which have led to an improvement in my text analysis. When he explains a concept, everything becomes so much more understandable! I have been tutoring with Michael one-on-on for only 4 months now and I’m more then happy to say that I have noticed a dramatic improvement within my articulation as well as my understanding and knowledge of each topic Michael has tutored me in. He helped raise my english and ancient marks and take my essay writing to another level. He gave me really good feedback on my short answer and Mod A practice pieces to help me in my trials. His ancient notes and knowledge is also really extensive, helping me fill all the gaps I had left before my exams. He also gives great tips for study, exam prep and for in the exam that reduces stress and makes it feel a lot easier. Overall amazing and really knowledgeable in the subjects he studied.

Michael S is a very talented student and an even better teacher! I have had him for upwards of 8 sessions ranging from Year 12 Advanced English, Extension History and Extension English and have learnt heaps. He has a very understandable way of teaching, changing tempos to support those in the class. Michael is able to skilfully detect the talents and downfalls of those in his groups and therefore is able to back students where they need it and accelerate them where they are capable. Finally Michael has enabled me to understand Advanced English texts that I have previously had trouble understanding as well as assisting me in understanding the structure of HSC examinations and the Module descriptors.
