Within the IB, I completed the extremely competitive Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches Higher Level course, which was the most difficult course offered and is equivalent to/more intensive than HSC Maths Extension 2. For this subject, I ultimately received an overall grade of 7 (the highest possible grade and equivalent of a Band 6 in HSC). Moreover, I received 7s in each of my individual examination papers (Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3), which when combined, places me on the higher end of a grade 7. Additionally, I have over 4 years of experience in tutoring mathematics, which allows for my teaching methods to be highly adaptable to each individual student. My teaching style is quite collaborative when approaching concepts and ​I like giving students the opportunity to tackle problems on their own as we unpack a topic before providing them with a fully explained solution. Gloria helped me confidently get a 7 in my final maths result for the November 2022 session after averaging about a 4 when I first started with her. I had Gloria as a tutor throughout last year for AA HL Maths, and I honestly could not recommend her enough! She has a deep understanding for mathematical concepts that she can honestly explain them to you through every lens, no matter what type of learner you are. She also shares lots of helpful tips and tricks about the IB and what specifics they look for in each criteria, all while being very fun and engaging with her lessons. Having her as a tutor and a supportive figure reduced my stress levels significantly as I felt like I could always ask for her guidance whenever my teachers were not being as helpful. I needed a last-minute tutor to help me revise for my Year 11 Maths Ext 1 exam and thankfully found Gloria’s listing! She helped me understand how to breakdown trig questions and explained concepts really well. She also improved and refined my overall approach to functions, but beyond that, she also taught me some maths tricks and shortcuts which I found extremely helpful during the exam. Ultimately, this led my exam mark to have increased 28% more than my previous one and so I had to start having her as a regular tutor! I truly cannot recommend her highly enough!

Gloria is exceptionally hardworking, always ensuring that her lessons are prepared and well-suited to fit her student's goals and needs. She is excellent at breaking down and explaining difficult concepts, making sure that her student understands the ideas at hand so they can incorporate the newly attained knowledge into practice. Along with her marvellous teaching ability, she possesses a jovial personality that allows the student to feel comfortable around her as well as encourages and motivates her students to do their best. From my personal experience, I saw a drastic improvement in my maths results after having Gloria as my tutor. In my Year 10 yearly accelerated maths exam, I scored 96% on my test with Gloria's help.
